BOYS CAN'T FAKE IT
"It also gets me crazy that the "Star, Baby" recording is so totally over looked...even by my biggest fans."
Regards,
DC"
..NOT TRUE ABOUT "STAR, BABY!!" It's disco's stylish new wave cousin, one of the rare ones that haven't aged at all. And "Boys Can't Fake It" is still spinned a lot. My good friend dj Sami from Helsinki swears by "Boys Can't Fake It" and has highlighted it at his Pride gigs all over Europe each year, instead of some boring too obvious thing like "Gimme Gimme." L'Etage of Paris has SHOOK with it, trust me. Etage is a painfully trendy hipster joint but the unbelievably good looking young crowd is serious about their dance music. They go for oddball Brazilian tracks, holy funk relics on 45, Bollywood soundtracks, jazzy breaks and disco candies. Also spinned it at the Nouveau Casino in Paris - why is it hetero men play the homoest tunes and so many gay djs spin soulful struts?
